and other Hospitul necessaries, articles repeatedly asked for could not be supplied. Such complaints were made solely in the interest of my patients. Whatever the reason may be, the fact remains, I have been passed over after nearly 14 years faithful and conscientious service by the Hong Kong Government in favour of a junior, on grounds which have been kept absolutely

secret from me.

Surely this is not fain, I appeal to your sense of justice, if there is really any complaint against me, let me have the chance of meeting it in the

open.
